Home Up

Looking back at events in 2006:

Members of the West Suburban Irish enjoyed the Holiday Season at Quigley's Irish Pub on December 8, 2006. Here are a few pictures.

WSI members joined in Naperville's Hometown Holidays Parade on November 24. The WSI float featured children and grandchildren of members, and the colorful flags of towns and counties of Ireland. See photos here.

WSI kicked off its monthly pub Quiz Night on November 7 to great success at Quigley's Irish Pub.

Forty members and guests of the West Suburban Irish headed to Chicago for dinner at Harry Caray's and a performance of the new musical, "The Pirate Queen." Here are a few photos of the dinner.

In September, the West Suburban Irish enjoyed the DuPage Symphony Orchestra's September 9th performance: "Irish Spirit, Celtic Muse." World-renowned Irish fiddler Liz Carroll and guitarist John Doyle performed with the DSO at Cantigny Park in Wheaton. The setting at Cantigny was beautiful, and the performances were outstanding.

About 50 WSI members and guests enjoyed the Chicago White Sox' dramatic victory over the Cleveland Indians on September 8, at the Half-way to St. Patrick's Day game.

WSI members helped out serving beverages at Naper Days and at Ribfest in Naperville. To see photos of WSI members in action (and relaxing after work), click here.

The 2006 Irish Mass was well-attended, and a beautiful service.

The 2006 Emerald Dinner was a great success! West Suburban Irish donated $2,500 to St. Baldrick's Foundation, and $2,500 to Sharing Connections thanks to the success of the Emerald Dinner!

The 2006 St. Patrick's Parade was blessed with great weather and a huge turn-out.
