Understanding The Irish Civil War
Over 100 years later, immediately following the War of Independence, the Civil War in Ireland is still a painful and divisive period, which separated family, friends and regions. What issues caused the division? Who were the opposing leaders and la their positions? How was the war resolved, and what were its short- and long-term effects?
Professor Shereen Ilahi of North Central College returns to the West Suburban Irish to lead us in a discussion on the Civil War, on Wednesday, January 14, at the Naperville Judd Kendall VFW, --W Jackson St. A brief WSI members meeting will precede the presentation at 6:30pm, followed by Prof. Ilahi at 7:00pm. Free, but registration required, with preference to WSI members. See
